A translation of the avant gaurd verdant pops of little leaves peaking through cracks in gritty pastel pavement. This one in particular on the side of a favorite old building (housing a favorite coffee shop) in historic downtown Charleston, where charm is literally bursting at the seams. This limited production color study of the orignal work by Lauren Mendenhall showcases the most beautiful mossy hues in relation to weathered, accidentally pastel exterior paint and washed out concrete gray. A study in the slow fade of grit to unexpected softness.
